HLP+Partners Launches Exciting New Docu-Adventure Series entitled ‘Operation Unplugged’.

In collaboration with Glassbox Media, HLP+Partners will be producing a unique new show for the Travel and Escape channel, to premiere early in 2012.
This 6 x 60 series will shoot from coast-to-coast across Canada this summer at the most majestic Parks Canada and National Historic Site locations.

Operation Unplugged takes 8 of the most self-proclaimed techno-dependent Canadians and unplugs them from their network. Then they are plunged into a challenge-based adventure through our breathtaking National Parks and National Historic Sites. The series is hosted by Alan Bishop, renowned for his experience as a challenge producer, adventurer and team facilitator as he leads our participants on an experiential journey of lifetime.

“We are thrilled to be working with Glassbox Media to produce this ground breaking series. The timing could not be more ripe for a series that takes the conventional approach to competition shows and turns it on its head”, said Henry Less, Partner, HLP+Partners.

“We couldn’t ask for better partners than HLP+Partners and Parks Canada. They bring both vision and beauty to the project. Operation Unplugged will deliver adventure and excitement to our Travel and Escape audience”, said Marcia Martin, SVP Creative Content, Commissioned & In-House Programming.

The project was introduced to HLP+Partners by internationally respected broadcaster and producer Kevin Newman, who brings his exceptional talents to the series as one of the executive producers.
